Questions & Answers

  • A doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to individuals and families during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. Think of a doula as a compassionate guide and advocate, ensuring you feel empowered and cared for throughout your journey.

  • Doulas play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive environment. Here’s how I can help:

    • Provide comfort: Through massage, breathing techniques, and aromatherapy, I help you relax, rest, and feel truly cared for.

    • Assist with decision-making: I help communicate your preferences to medical staff, advocate for your needs, and ensure you understand each step of the process.

    • Support your family: I work closely with your partner and loved ones, offering reassurance and guidance. I can also assist with newborn feeding and maternal self-care.

    • Improve communication: I enhance dialogue between you, your partner, and your medical providers, ensuring a cohesive support system.

  • The timing is entirely up to you! Many people find it helpful to begin doula support around the 20-week mark of pregnancy. However, it’s never too late—even hiring a doula on the day of labor can make a difference.

I believe in forming an early partnership with my clients, starting at the onset of pregnancy. By preparing both the mind and body for the incredible journey ahead, we can reduce anxiety and build confidence together. Think of preparing for birth like training for a marathon: with the right tools, alignment, and education, you'll feel ready and empowered to embrace this milestone.

  • Absolutely not! As a doula, I collaborate with every member of your support team, guiding your partner on how to assist during and before birth. Feeling safe during labor often comes from the presence of your primary partner, and I work to ensure both of you feel confident and comfortable.

  • Yes! Knowledge is power, and investing in a comprehensive birth education course is one of the best decisions you can make. I’m here to help you explore options and find the right fit for your needs. A solid understanding of birth helps you make informed decisions and feel more in control—beyond what Hollywood or high school birth ed might suggest.

  • Of course! This is a judgment-free zone. My role is to support you in making choices that feel right for you and your journey. Whether you opt for pain relief or other methods, I’m here to meet you where you are and ensure you feel confident in your decisions.

  • Not at all! While my packages are designed to offer maximum value, I deeply believe in supporting any mother in need. If my current packages don’t align with your circumstances or budget, we can create something tailored just for you

  • Doulas and midwives have different roles. A midwife is a medical professional who provides clinical care during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. A doula, on the other hand, focuses on emotional, physical, and informational support, ensuring you feel empowered and cared for throughout your journey. I work alongside midwives and other medical staff to create a cohesive, supportive experience for you.

  • Yes! My support doesn’t end after birth. I can assist with newborn feeding, maternal self-care, and emotional support as you adjust to life with your new baby. Postpartum care is just as important as pregnancy and birth, and I’m here to help you navigate this beautiful, yet challenging, time.

  • I support all types of births, including home births, hospital births, medicated births, unmedicated births, and cesarean sections. My role is to ensure you feel supported and confident in the choices you make, no matter the type of birth you envision.

  • If you go into labor earlier than expected, I’m just a call away. We’ll have already discussed your preferences and birth plan, so I’ll be ready to support you whenever your baby decides it’s time to arrive.

  • Doulas use techniques like breathing exercises, massage, and positioning to ease discomfort and create a calm environment. My presence helps reduce anxiety by ensuring you feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.

  • Yes, I can provide virtual support if needed! This might include prenatal consultations, help with birth plan preparation, and virtual coaching or encouragement during labor. It’s a flexible option to accommodate your needs.

  • Absolutely! I offer a wide range of resources, including evidence-based articles, book recommendations, and referrals to trusted professionals. These resources help build your confidence and empower you to make informed decisions throughout your pregnancy.

  • Discover the Healing Power of Reiki:

Welcome to a world of relaxation, healing, and rejuvenation. Experience the transformative power of Reiki with my new Reiki service, designed to restore balance and harmony to your mind, body, and spirit.

  • Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy healing technique that originated in Japan. It promotes healing by helping to balance your energy levels, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. Whether you are looking to relieve physical discomfort, emotional distress, or simply want to enjoy deep relaxation, Reiki can offer profound benefits.

  • Reiki, much like regular visits to a doctor or dentist, plays a vital role in maintaining overall well-being. While there is no fixed rule on frequency, it is generally recommended to have at least one comprehensive Reiki session per year to realign your chakras and restore balance to your energy system.

This annual session should ideally span four consecutive days, with each treatment lasting one to two hours. This immersive approach allows for deeper healing and ensures that energy flows harmoniously throughout the body.

Aside from annual sessions, Reiki can also be sought whenever you feel off-balance, emotionally drained, or in need of a spiritual cleanse. Whether dealing with stress, physical discomfort, or emotional turbulence, Reiki can help restore clarity, calmness, and vitality.

One of the best things about Reiki is its accessibility—it is suitable for everyone, including women, men, and children. Regardless of age or background, Reiki offers a gentle and effective way to promote holistic wellness.

By incorporating Reiki into your routine, whether once a year or more frequently based on personal needs, you can maintain a sense of inner harmony and well-being throughout your life.
